The best part of Spring...

Wow! What a great week. The first full week of baseball and the KC Royals are the ONLY team left unbeaten! If you know anything about the majors over the last few years, then you know what a truly amazing feat this is. We just swept the Detroit Tigers in our opening series. I think the Motor City is still quite stunned. On to a 3-game series in Minnesota tonight, then home for the home opener against the hated NY Yankees. Personally, I'd just as soon lose our first to the Twins than to the Yankees. Any way, Zach & I will be at Kaufman Stadium for the home opener. We are very stoked at this! This year the Royals held a lottery pick for an opportunity to buy tickets. We haven't been to opening day for the last two years because brokers have been buying up all available seats. This year the Royals organization fixed that. Anyway, it wasn't a sure thing that you'd be picked in the lottery, but Todd's entry was. Unfortunately, my husband will be taking one for the team, the Americo team, that is, as he will be leaving for Las Vegas on business on Tuesday, April 8, the Royals' home opener. I will say I'm disappointed, but Zach and I will have a wonderful time. (For those who didn't know and haven't figured out by now, I am a HUGE baseball fan. It is easily, hands down, my favorite sport.) Go Royals!! (& Braves, can't take all the GA out of a girl)

Zach had his Solo & Ensemble competition this week on Tuesday and received a 1+ on his Solo (the highest score) and his Ensemble received a 1- on their song. It is a 1-5 scale, so we're pretty proud of him.

Well that's all for this week.
