Well, the calendar says spring, but 44 degrees, winter gear and a cold rain do not equal spring or Baseball in my book! But that's what it was for opening day @ the K last Tuesday. Zach and I braved the elements through 6 innings as we watched our Royals beat the Yankees, 5-2. It's always worth it to see the Yankees lose - especially to your team! The Royals incidentally took the series from the Yankees, 2-1. Our family will be going to the ballpark Saturday night and once again, we'll be decked out in winter gear as game time temps should be in the upper 30's.
Todd has been soaking up the warm sun in Vegas this week and is coming home today (Friday). We'll all be glad to have him home!
I am very grateful to God for sustaining me this week while Todd was gone. I never know when my back is going to cause me problems and go "out". God was gracious and answered our prayers by keeping upright and mobile!
